WRECKED! ON 2104 at Redwater (02FEB2012)

Ontario Northland 2104, ON 1734, 1730 southbound at mile 60 of the ONR Temagami subdivision in Redwater pulling mixed freight. Trip 1 -- 226 axles, 55 cars, 3092 feet, 33 mph Trip 2 -- 18 axles, 3 cars, 198 feet, 39 mph Trip 3 - 114 axles, 27 cars, 1685 feet, 41 mph This was my first ONR freight train!!! But it cost me plenty. On a forest access road I met a fully loaded Bigras Logging truck on a blind corner. His trailer pinched the corner and I found myself in a rapidly closing gap between his trailer and a four foot snow bank. It was scary as shit and one craziest situations that I have ever encountered in my 20+ years driving. The trailer took out my bumper, headlight, fender, tie rod, mirror, tire & rim. Yet, we were damn lucky it could have been a LOT worse.

Feb 5, 2012 - Yeah it must be some sort of database corruption. I think they are getting a little carried away trying to modernize constantly. Some of us just wan't to keep things the way they are. In March my channel will be forced into the new format. Boo!

Feb 5, 2012 - Replaced the tie rod end & rim/tire - will find out tomorrow when I do an alignment if the strut is bent too. Hopefully not. Then I will start looking for a fender.
