[Demi's POV] I walked into the girls bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. What happened to me? Joe happened. Why did I let him in? I don't know. I stayed in the restrooms until the whole period was finished. I couldn't bring myself to walk back in. When I walked back in only the teacher was in there. "Demi," he said looking up from his desk. I bit my lip and walked over to him. "Yes, sir?" I replied. "You got an A for that song you wrote. Are you okay?" I gave him a half smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry for running out and not coming back," I said. I went and packed up my stuff. "I didn't have the guts to come back." He just smiled. "That's okay, Demi. Music really gets to your emotions, I could see," I just nodded and after saying bye I walked out of the class and into the lunch room. I averted my eyes away from the people staring at me and sat at an empty desk pulling out my books ready to do some study. I didn't want to talk to anyone right now. --- "Demi," I heard a sob come from the doorway of my room. I looked up seeing Selena. This past 2 weeks we've hardly talked at all. I sat up in my bed and looked at her. Tears were streaming down her face, her hair was in a mess. My heart started to pound, she was holding the home phone in her hand. I looked from her to the phone. Tears clouding my vision. "Wh-hat, Selena?" I asked her. She walked in my room. I got out of my bed and stood in front of her. "It's mom. She's in a hospital in New York," she bursted out crying. I looked at her, disbelief in my eyes. This can't be happening, mom was all Selena and I had left as a parent. The phone dropped to the floor and so did Selena. I crumpled beside her. "She was hit by a car," Selena managed to choke out. I didn't notice my sobs until they got louder. Nothing was being said, only thing being shared between us were the clutching of one another with our hands and the tears and sobs coming from our bodies. I woke up the next morning from crying myself to sleep. I was hopeless, me and Selena were in L.A and our mother was in New York. We couldn't afford a flight for both of us there either. I looked at Selena sleeping beside me. We managed to get to my bed after crying our eyes out. Her face was puffy and pink, the same as mine. Her eyes fluttered open, they were red from crying. "Demi. I'm sorry," she said again. After we settled down she explained every thing to me about the plan and how it back fired. I forgave her because I knew I was in the wrong, we both were really, that's what Selena said. "I want you to go see mom, Sel," I whispered in a croaky voice. She shook her head no. "You go," she replied back in the same voice as me. "Sel, I can't, I'm not strong enough you know I won't even make it into the hospital without crying," I told her, she nodded caving in and held my hand. "You will be okay, won't you?" She asked me, I sighed and nodded saying yes. ~~~~ 10+ please ? aand thank you ! x Whoa, a lot of drama is unfolding ! What'd you think ? "you are the one..."
