Skyrim - Lord of the Rings Music Mod

I took music tracks from the Lord of the Rings OST and put them into Skyrim. Here is the a first look at the result. Read on for more... As some may know Skyrim handles music in an odd fashion. There are different tracks for different situations, for example: Outside different music plays at night, during the day, in the morning and at dawn. Then there is general music for towns, taverns, combat (against normal enemies and "boss" encounters) and dungeons (broken down into ice, cave and fort). The problem is with how the game changes the current music which is why such film-oriented tracks don't fit in that well, especially if you use quick travel a lot (constantly starts at the beginning of a new track). Currently I've replaced most of the Skyrim tracks though I couldn't find fitting sections for the dungeons (a constant melody over a long time is hard to find in the OST) - Oh, and sorry for the crappy video quality. Something wrong with my encoder... - And sorry for crappy dragon combat...lol. Feb 11, 2012 - It plays in the main menu though. The problem is that this main theme only last for about a minute in the soundtrack, after that it changes to a totally different melody. I tried to avoid those big changes in the songs as much as possible to not destroy the mood during exploration. That's also why I left that distinct orc marsh song out. It just doesn't fit IMO. But you can do it yourself if you want, it is not that hard. Just encode the track into a xmw file

Feb 18, 2012 - did you replace or add the music? because i have tried finding a way to play custom added music but haven't found then, not even by adding them in the CK seems skyrim just doesn't want to play them

Feb 19, 2012 - It replaces the music. I haven't found a good way yet to add music via CK either. There is some talk in the Bethsoft forum about it but no concrete solution.

Feb 19, 2012 - Hm, could be a good choice. Problem is, Skyrim uses only 3 boss fight tracks right now. And there isn't a good way of adding new songs instead of replacing them right now.
