The Solidarity Sing Along has been meeting every weekday at the Capitol since March 11, 2011. The Sing Along started soon after a judge ordered the Capitol to be reopened after it was locked down due to ongoing, large-scale demonstrations against massive state budget cuts and a rollback of most collective bargaining rights for public employees. The Solidarity Sing Along has demonstrated a clear commitment to peaceable assembly despite new restrictions on Capitol access.
