****CLICK ARROWS OVER HERE FOR MP3 DOWNLOADS**** THE STORY OF HOW I MADE THIS MIX I got bored one day, and chose to listen to Gin And Juice to lighten my day, when I noticed that the video version (the actual video... the censored one) had a slightly different instrumental (with added effects at the beginning and end of the song). A day later I had an urge to listen to that version again so I felt I would make it myself. So I found the best version of the video on youtube I could find, turned it into an mp3 and then I found the Gin And Juice CD single (because it doesn't have the skit overlap, or abrupt ending) and I mixed them together. Then after listening to it and a bunch of the "Extended Club Mix" versions of Let Me Ride, Dre Day and Who Am I (What's My Name)?, I wondered if I could extend Gin And Juice. I took the version of Gin And Juice from the CD single that censors "biatch!" at the end so I could have more instrumental to work with and I played with the instrumental a bit after the video effects. (i.e. continuing the instrumental and mixing the high note and the non-high note whistle portions of the instrumental to give some variety for an extra 2 minutes (1 minute after the video effects)). And with that this 5:25 mix of Gin And juice was born. The Radio Edit version is because I have an FM transmitter for my iPod. So when I'm at work/Subway (yeah that's right =P) and my boss isn't in, I override the radio with my music, i.e. lots of G-Funk and classic 90's hip hop)... radio versions so customers don't complain, or notice that it isn't the radio. So I decided to include it for anyone who wants to play this version with out the song anywhere, without complaints. ALBUM COVER INFO So I always like having top quality artwork for my songs on iTunes, so for any album I buy, I scan and adjust the artwork on my comp. I have the original (19 track) version of Doggystyle so I scanned it. But I noticed that some of the edge of the art weren't folded right, and cut off a bit of the artwork. So I scanned it multiple times and used some photoshop to eliminate the fold lines on the art. Then I noticed that after the "E" on "Doggystyle" you can see a bit of the sky, AND I hate the Parental Advisory sticker. So I found versions online that didn't have the PA label and showed more of the artwork, and used it as references to expand the artwork. I used photoshop to: 1. Copy the grass along the "Dogg" House as it would have been if the label wasn't there (as seen in the photos) 2. Complete the "Dogg" House 3. Add in the little black dot by Joe Cool's signature 4. Extend the sky past the "E" 5. Made the artwork square by expanding the sky top, grass bottom, right and (a little) left, the wall left (a little) Snoop Doggy Dogg - Gin And Juice (Video Version/Exkimo64 Extension) 1.
