Wanda Weiss was born in Latvia (then still part of the Russian Empire) in 1915. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1917, fleeing the Communist 'October Revolution' takeover. In Canada they took up dairy farming outside Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Here she recalls dairy farming practices at the time of her childhood during the 1920s.
