10 Reasons Why [Some] WWE Fans Hate John Cena

John Cena debut in 2002 when he accepted an open challenge from Kurt Angle, who was a heel at the time. Fans immediately cheered the rookie in hopes that someone can finally pin the arrogant bastard that Kurt Angle was so good at playing. Unfortunately he didn't, but people continued their support and further supported him when he debut his rapping gimmick. John Cena was a breath of fresh air to Smackdown. Every time they played his epic theme song, "Word Life", the crowd would stand to their feet as they cheered the charismatic, young Cena. He'd hyped the crowd by mocking his opponents in freestyle, and was a hands-down fan favorite at Smackdown. His popularity declined, however, when he was drafted to Raw. His rap gimmick faded, as boos continued to increase. While there are still some die-hard fans out there, there's no questions of hate echoing through the minds of WWE fans, especially males. There seems to be no real answers why. Like millions of other people, I turned to Google and these are the reasons I compiled from websites, forums, Youtube commentaries, etc., of the top 10 reason why some WWE fans hate John Cena: 1.) He's too popular John Cena is simply too popular and many people don't like that. He's involved with too many storylines. Past fan-favorite wrestlers are put to the back burner, and fans notice Vince's favoritism towards John Cena. 2.) His gimmick sucks Many people claim that they liked him better when he had his rap gimmick. His gimmick now isn't working for him. 3.) He always win John Cena's matches are predictable. WWE fans know that he'll win, and even if he'll lose, John Cena would be victorious in the end at main events. 4) He's always the champ Fans are tired of him hogging the title. 5.) His promos are stale When he had his rap gimmick, his promos tend to be the most entertaining segment of the whole entire show. Fans now believe his promos lack that same energy and excitement. 6.) His wrestling sucks Not only his character is stale, but so is his wrestling moves. People are tired of him using the same finisher to win a match, although other wrestlers are guilty of this too. 7.) He's a bad actor Some people claim Cena is a bad actor... Not that other WWE superstars are good actors themselves. 8.) He's a 'replacement' for The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin WWE is trying to make John Cena become the 'next' Stone Cold Steve Austin, and fans obviously don't like that idea. Like the old saying goes, the original is always the best. 9.) He's the icon for the new era of wrestling He's arguably the icon for this generation of wrestling. Most Cena-haters grew up watching The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, and Hulk Hogan, and they can't seem to get over the fact that a new generation of younger stars are following their footsteps. They don't like the "new" WWE and John Cena is the face of the "new" WWE. 10.) He just sucks Some people just don't have a legitimate argument.

Feb 12, 2012 - The reason I dislike Cena is becuase he dosen't have good in ring skill and he's so damn dull and repetative. If he could get a new gimmick that is actually original and not just some cheap ass rip off of anouther wrestler then I would most likely like him a hell lot better. He just needs to mix things up. Super Cena needs to go because we have Cena nough!

U retards act like they just gave it to him without earning it, Not that Brock Lesnar. Cena climbed up the ladder and earned his spot, especially when 80% of Cena haters were sucking on his dick to win the WWE title

Feb 9, 2012 - i feel constrained to say something about all that idiocy ´round cena, ´caus i´m really pissed off of those people don´t know what they ´re saying. and in fact, most wrestlings fans are not very intelligent as all of these arguments applies also to most of the other superstars. wwe wants them to do only some signature movies and of of course every single face superstar will win in the end! lokk at them: randy orton, cm punk, batista, undertaker, hhh, shawn michales, stone cold, the rock, etc.
