Mason and Julia hit a rough patch just prior to Eden and Cruz's nuptials. After an awkward drive to the inn together (which I have uploaded), Julia decides to take Mason at his word and give him the space he seems to want. In the process, while going horseback riding, another man takes an interest in her. Mason, meanwhile, does what he does best when things implode: He gets drunk. C.C. finds him in a snit as father and son share a chat. C.C. thought Mason cared about Julia. Mason says he does. C.C. counters he does but he can never make a commitment, is that it? Mason glares and - at one point - says it is like the pot calling the kettle feckless. Ha. C.C. warns Mason that Mason may regret it: Julia is an attractive woman. She's not going to wait around for him forever! C.C. leaves. Mason gets up and staggers to the window just in time to see Julia, seemingly carefree, enjoying horseback riding with that same man who approached her in the stables. A resolute - if tipsy - Mason declares, "*Nobody* does this to Mason Capwell!" and takes off.
