Karachi, Feb.08 (APP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr.Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that Balochistan was the first priority of the President Asif Ali Zardari. She said that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) had always recognized the Baloch People. While addressing the Radio Station Turbat Inauguration Ceremony in Turbat from Radio Pakistan Karachi on Thursday she said that Baloch people were the symbol of pride and prestige of the country. PPP wanted to empower the baloch people and making all-out efforts to bring them on-board she said. Dr.Firdous further said that terrorist activities and target killings could not weaken the baloch. She said that PPP-led Government alongwith its coalition partners wished to enagage baloch people in the political system. Shaheed Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto seven days before her martyrdom addressing in Balochistan said she had brought the message of peace and solidarity here she pointed out. PPP was taking steps forward keeping in mind the message of Shaheed Mohtrma Benazir Bhutto she said. The Prime Minister of her party gave "Aghaz-e Haqoq-e-Balochistan" and it was only an start she added. Dr.Firdous Ashiq awan said that there was a dire need to end sense of depriviation from beloch people which was created by the previous policies. There was need of dialogues with baloch leaders and people she said. Such Projects like 100kw transmitter at Turbat must be expanded to come out baloch people from depressed situation she added. Dr.Firdous further said that economic wheel of the country was attached with Balochistan, Ghawadar Port would come up as an economic hub hereinafter. Adding, she said that National Finance Commission (NFC) Award also shows that we were sincere with the baloch people. She said that Bolch people be given all rights which they deserve. The country could come in economic front line of the world countries with the development and prosperity in Balochistan she said. Balochistan was the energy corridor she added. On the occasion, She thanked Senators Ismail Bulaidi and Abdul Malik for their role to raise baloch people's voice in Islamabad./
