Half-Life 2: Stereoscopic, cross-eye 3D gameplay.

I uploaded this because I could only find one other three-dimensional Half-Life 2 video which was cross-eyed rather than anagram, and it was from one of the Episodes. Hence, I thought it may pleasure at least some person to see the opening scenes of the game with glorious visual depth. Also, please excuse the frame-rate. I've been having technical difficulties between Optimus and IZ3D (that'd be the driver I used for this cross-eyed effect), and the result of that is that I could only play this with my worse graphics card. This also caused the mouse lag and, by extension, the pretty stiff mouse movements in the video. Lastly, IZ3D (and also TriDef, a competitor) are worth checking out if you're interested in 3D gaming. IZ3D offers a 30-day and TriDef a 14-day free trial. Oh, yes. If you haven't heard of the cross-eyed viewing method, know that it involves literally crossing one's eyes so that the two images merge into a single, three-dimensional middle image. When it's done properly, afterimages of the left and right images move left and right respectively, and the middle image forms between them and looks very crisp. It's difficult to explain precisely how to do it, and I'd spent at least a full hour attempting to learn how myself, convinced at one point that I was simply incapable of it, but after many tries it simply worked. There are several guides online; perhaps one of those might contain some valuable bit of advice that would suit you.

Apr 12, 2012 - games should include this as a default option, it's really cool and a nice feature for those who don't have the extra cash for a 3D setup.
