When I woke up this morning, my entire body was in pain. Not only had he raped me, but he beat me this time, for keeping him from what he really wanted, the twins. Ever since they had gotten older he's been eyeing them. Before he made his way up the stairs the night before, I told them to hide in their closet and I locked their door, the only room that needed a key. Sparing the details, I got up to take a shower, barely able to stand. When I looked in the mirror I saw the outcome of his everlasting rage. My cheek stained a dark purple by a bruise I knew would last weeks. My arms and thighs were covered in grip marks, from him groping me, my stomach and neck peppered with bite marks. Ugh why did he have to do this to ME? I quickly showered and covered up my scars with makeup. Then I went to get the twins ready. Tears were brought to my eyes at the sight of them sleeping peacefully, holding hands afraid to leave one another. "Wake up, Lana, Naya. You two have to get ready for school" they slowly started to rise and I soon had them bathed, dressed and fed. Once I dropped the girls off at school I started making my way towards my own school, Belmonte Academy of Fine Arts. As I approached the school steps I saw my friends Kari and Nicole talking about something that seemed to be funny. Kari was with her boyfriend Khalil and Nicole was standing beside Twist. I walked up to them greeting everybody. "Wassup Lay" Twist asked as I gave him a hug. "Nothing much, shouldn't yall be heading toward class?" I asked curiously. "I don't have a first period" Khalil boasted. "I'm just not goin" Twist replied while staring at something off behind me. "yo, ain't that Diggy?" I turned to look where Twist's eyes were gazing. "Oh my gosh, he is GORGEOUS!" Nicole practically shouted, drawing attention to our little posse. I bit my lip "Lord knows the things I would do to that boy" she said a bit quieter" I rolled my eyes "why are you all in his grill?" everybody looked at me like I just shot the president. "How can you not like Diggy Simmons?" Kari asked, a confused look still on her face. "He's just so full of himself, I mean look at him" I replied pointing to him caking with a girl he more than likely just met. "But unlike you slackers, I'm gonna head to class and actually LEARN something." I quickly sped off just before the bell rang. Of course I got to class late; luckily I wasn't the only one. "Great" I thought as I took my seat. "Class, this is Daniel Simmons and he will be joining us this school year!" I once again rolled my eyes. Not only was he in my class but he had to sit right next to me! This was going to be a longgggggggg school year... - it gets better, I promise!!!!!
