Feb 9, 2012 - The sticker on the steering wheel of the Fairmont was due to a problem in 1970s fords where the auto transmission selector sometimes slipped from park to reverse if you left the engine running and got out of the car. Instead of a mechanical fix they mailed millions of stickers like that one for owners to stick on the inside of their cars. But they were suposed to put it on the dashboard, not on the steering wheel.

Feb 9, 2012 - Nice Audi I hardly see Audis older than 1999. Even on Autotrader if I search all over the US (any distance), there may be 3 1980s Audis for sale, usually with high mileage and in rough shape. I don't know how this generation of Audis compared to later ones, but judging by the looks of it, I think I would prefer a comparable Mercedes or BMW from the 80s over an Audi.

Feb 9, 2012 - Yeah the old Audi's are rare they kind of had a bad rep back then. It's kind of a miracle they survived the US market when other Euro manufacturers like Fiat, Peugeot etc. had to pull out. It's even more rare to find one in good of shape as this one.

Feb 9, 2012 - Nathan, don't get a Sony camera.....honestly, I think Sony has gone down-hill in the past 10 or so years.....they got too much focus on the PlayStation it seems like....I'd get the Canon Rebel T3i DSLR or something of that variant....about half the price of that Sony you are talking about

Feb 9, 2012 - I had the one up from that from Costco A series or AOS or something $999 with i big lens Too Big & not Nex 5N Quality. I used the Nex 5n for 16 months till I dropped it like a 5th time & it broke They refunded me cause they didnt have the parts.. so now with My refund i either buy NEX 5N again or wait a month for the Nex 7 i am leaning towards the 2x the money 7 cause they have been so good to me on Laptops and other stuff PS ur right there stock is CHEAP..;-)

Feb 10, 2012 - Had an '81 Audi Coupe many years ago with the 5 cylinder engine and it was sweet, took a ton of abuse and kept going. It was a wreck when I got it though, not a straight panel on it but it was such a great drive that I was very sad to let it go. Audi are good in my book.

Feb 11, 2012 - It looks like the seats are brand new or they may have been recently re-done. Car looks very good. Looks much better the Euro Audi 100 of the same year. But to be very honest, Audi is way behind Mercedes and BMW. Especially in the 80'. Nowadays they can tip to BMW, but Mercedes is still the king, IMO.
