This GUI is comparing two equalizers: Weighted Decision Feedback Equalizer [1] and Decision Feedback Equalizer designed based on the frequency analysis [2]. "DC part of channels" shows the real values of channel coefficients (multipath channel). Each channel coefficient is time-variable based on an auto-regressive model (order can be one or two). For [1], the shape of sigmoid function can be changed. The black points show alphabets sent by transmitter. The blue points are the received signal (noise is added and each message is corrupted by multipath channel). Green points are the output of equalizer. Before designing the equalizer, the channel should be estimated. Pilot signals are used to estimate the channel [3]. The estimated channel is shown. designed by Iman Moazzen (imanmoaz@uvic.ca) [1] J.
