I made this film in 1997. After the collapse of communism, telephone services in rural Poland were basic. A new joint venture company stepped in to modernise the system: Netia, comprising the Swedish state telecoms company Telia, a Polish start-up firm, and shareholders including Dankner Investments of Israel and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
