LIBERTY! FREEDOM! HUMAN RIGHTS! Words echoing from the walls of parliament today while debating the long gun registry and the plight of harmless hunters, sport shooters, and farmers. This fine fellow, honourable MP Robert Sopuck, gives me hope that Canadian democracy is alive and well, that our votes actually matter, that the government actually listens to "the people" rather than large political lobby groups. Feb 10, 2012 - Yes, possibly. But do we have the man power? Most gun owners don't know about bill c68, they only care about the c19, because they are only hunters. The rest of us are an extreme minority. If we all band together though, proud Canadian gun owners who want to fight for our freedom then yes, we would be able to push change. Other than that, the likely hood is low. Also, don't forget that the conservatives aren't who they seem, and that they are still for the confiscation of our guns.

Feb 10, 2012 - I agree, WE cannot rely on a Political party to do our work. WE need to become a cohesive force that all political parties will have to contend with. WE need to get them one gunowner at a time..
