The song 'Nereci' from the 1994 compilation CD album 'Hempisphere: World Music Sampler' by Brazilian singer Djavan Caetano Viana. He combines traditional Brazilian rhythms with popular sounds from Africa, America and Europe. He came to prominence in the 1970's and continues to record. Djavan's compositions have been recorded by Al Jarreau, Carmen McRae, The Manhattan Transfer, Loredana Bertè, Eliane Elias and Lee Ritenour.
