Chun In Pyong (전인평), Ph.D. Ex dean of the College of Korean Music Chung Ang University, Professor of Music composition and history of Korean Music and a Ph.D. in Korean music theory from Korean Studies. Vice President of Korean Music Critics Association. He is the president of Council for Asian Musicology and has published English journal [Asian Musicology] twice in a year from 2002. His work has been funded by the UNESCO and the Korean Arts Promotion Foundation. He was an examiner for World Intangible Heritage for Humanities of UNESCO 2009-2011. He has authored many books, Guakjakgogipmun (국악작곡입문 [The Guide for Composition for Korean Musical Instruments] 1988), SaerounHangugueiagsa (새로운 한국음악사 [New History of Korean Music] 2000), SilkroadwaHangugueiag (실크로드 음악과 한국음악 [Silk Road Music and Korean Music] 2001), Asia Ueimakyeongu (아시아음악연구 [Asian Music Studies] 2002), Silk Road; Gil wiuinorae (실크로드, 길 위의 노래 [Silk Road and its' Music] 2003), Urigajeongmalalayahaluriueimak (우리가 정말 알아야 할 우리음악) [Essential Korean Music for Korean] 2008).
