Apr 28, 2012 - Thanks. It is a mechanically actuated piston type valve. O rings of equal size on either side of a nylon piston balances the pressure on either side so it is immovable in a T or cross fitting. Only friction and inertia have to be overcome to fire the valve. The piston can be used as a bolt for loading as well.
