Kobe Cracks the Top 5, Lakers Rumor Report & Road Trip Woes

Last night was bitter sweet for the Lakers although Kobe Bryant surpassed his former teammate Shaquille O'neal's record to now become the NBA's 5th all time scorer with 28,601 points. However, they continue to suffer away from the Staples Center receiving their 9th road loss of the season bringing their total road record to 3-9. Head Coach John Keuster filled in for Mike Brown in last nights game against the 76ers after coach Brown was suspended and fined $25,000 for making contact with a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his ejection in the Lakers' loss to the Jazz Saturday night in Utah.

Feb 7, 2012 - Jose Calderon is the only realistic option to get for the Lakers, I mean seriously we can just give them Steve Blake. the trade exception. some money and some draft picks then BOOM! PG problem solve without sacrificing any of our key players.

Feb 7, 2012 - it's not boom.. the trade exception can't be added in a trade.. you can sign players with the trade exception and If you're envisioning a winning trade for the lakers, why would teams accept it? why in the world would a team trade calderon for blake? this isn't really 2k guys, and teams don't just accept a losing trade. even the magic wants a bynum-gasol for howard.

Feb 7, 2012 - one more thing that people needs to know... rookies are not tradeable. if you sign a rookie, you're stuck with him for at least a year. if the lakers can get pau for deron williams, that would be perfect, then find some veteran that would take the minimum to replace pau's size. that seems a looong shot though, and that lineup makes the lakers rely on bynum more, and if he gets injured then kobe-deron is weak., i say get flynn, the hous would prolly give him for ebanks and money.

Feb 7, 2012 - @adiana vega are you crazy? Bynum the best in the west? I'm a true Lakers fan, Bynum is weak compared to D-12. Bynum gets hurt and cannot jump or get any lift. We need Dwight/Kobe and point guard.

Feb 7, 2012 - Lakers management suck! Should've never involved Odom in the beginning! We could've had Fisher,Kobe,Odom,Barnes,Dwight!

Feb 8, 2012 - No fool just cuhs youre a laker fan doesnt mean that you know anything about basketball. Look at Bynum he's still fresh and he attacks the basket more. We need a PLAY MAKER.
Blackmamba4life79 Wypowiedź:
Feb 8, 2012 - @raandomalex so Kobe isn't a play maker? Take Bynums stats versus Dwight's stats who wins? Whose had more injuries? Whose defensive player of the year twice?

Feb 8, 2012 - @Blackmamba4life79 she clearly said Bynum is the best in the west. So why bother arguing about whether Dwight is better or not? I respect what youre trying to say, but give it up. were not getting Dwight. Hes just playing games
