Meaning that her kissing him in this scene right before pulling him under let's him breathe underwater. They do not die, they live together. What happens after they leave is something we have to find out in a next movie?

May 24, 2012 - A kiss from a mermaid allows the person to breath underwater. Love these two!! We can only hope they'll make an appearance in the next movie... Probably not though... =(
