---Jacob's POV--- I don't want Jasmine to be afraid of getting hurt by me. I love her... wow it sounds weird to say that. I've never said that to someone, not even Brooklynn. I took her hand but she didn't pull away. She did sigh and look down though. "I still don't know," She said "I don't want to take the chance." She said. I looked into her eyes. Maybe she'll come around. I decided to change the subject. "I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you today." I said softly. She smiled at me slightly. "It wasn't your fault... There was no way you could have known." She said to me. I shook my head. "Yes, it was. I should have protected you." I told her. She looked offended by my comment. "I'm not a little girl. You don't have to protect me." She fired at me as she stood up. Here we go again. "Why do you always have to argue with me?" I yelled. "Because, you always say the wrong thing!" "Well, maybe if you weren't such a complicated person, this would be easier!" "Fine, if I'm so complicated then just leave me alone." With that she stormed away. I'm not chasing her this time. I sat on the bench and sighed heavily. Why does she always do that? No matter what I say, she has to start an argument. After sitting in the same spot for about a half an hour, I took out my phone and called Craig. He answered on the third ring. "Hello?" He asked. "Hey, it's me." I said. "What did you do to Jas?" "What are you talking about?" "She's crying her eyes out." "I didn't do anything to her!" "Then why does she feel so bad?" "All I did was try to apologize for not being there for her, and she started arguing with me." "Whatever man, you're gonna have to fix this on your own." "Alright, I'll see you later." With that, I hung up the phone. No matter how hard I try, I always feel bad for hurting her. Maybe she's right, we shouldn't be together. We never even dated and we're already fighting like a married couple. I made my way back to the orphanage. When I walked in Jasmine and I ignored each other. I think we both needed a break. I went to the room and saw Ray sitting on his bed. I gave him a single nod and he returned the gesture. "Why is Jas so upset?" He asked. I rolled my eyes just thinking about it. "We were at the park today, and we started arguing again." I said. "I don't know how you do it Bro. I can't deal with all of those mood swings." I laughed a little when he said that. I understand him though. Usually I would just forget about the girl but I can't with this one. I can never get her off of my mind. I know that none of the guys have ever felt this way before, so they would never understand why I'm still dealing with this. "Well, maybe if you weren't such a player, you would understand." I told him. He rolled his eyes and smirked. "You used to be on too... remember? Before Jas came." I do remember. Before I met Jasmine I would just smash and pass. With Jasmine it's different. I could never do that to her. Especially because she's so emotional and I didn't want to hurt her anymore. Ugh! I hate that I keep saying that, but I end up doing it anyway! I think that I'm gonna have to just take a break for a while.
