This band, Spojene Huky Slovenska (United Drones of Slovakia), can be hardly seen playing in the same constelation twice in a row. For each show a different group of bagpipers presents itself and they all come from various regions of Slovakia, even from Silesia (part of Czech republic). They play tunes from all over their homeland, promoting the beauty and diversity of the Slovak traditional music. Maybe this "group playing" is not the most authentic way of presenting bagpipes in Slovakia, but they certainly brought a new dynamism into the bagpiper's world in Slovakia and attracted a bunch of young players to this traditional and above all beautiful, awesome instrument. A leading member and founder of this formation is Juraj Dufek - search for his other videos on youtube - amazing. He is one of the most accomplished players and instruments maker in Slovakia. On this video, along with him, we can see Hanka Olsanska (from Silesia), Lukas Lacko, Peter Kovac, Jogurt (sorry for not knowing your legal name ;-)) and Lubomir Tatarka - Calamacha. This performance was recorded at the annual, international gathering of bagpipers in the village of Oravska Polhora - Northern Slovakia, one of the most authentic regions, especially for a bagpipe music.
