Homemade Punt

Basically it's a small boat or punt. It's a carry all for all your fishing gear or beer and what have you. I'm using this one for spearfishing out on coral reef beds and shallows. I'll eventually throw a styrofoam cooler in it or line the insides with styro and ice and throw a lid on it. Why? Because sharks are attracted to blood. This way I can shoot some fish and throw them in the cooler without risking my fish or myself being eaten.

Feb 18, 2012 - Keep in mind that this thing is only about 2 feet wide and about 3 feet 4 inches long. It's not intended for personnel. I did take it out today on it's maiden voyage and it held up just fine. I was able to put all my spearfishing gear i.e., weight for the boat itself, floating line, weight belt, fins, spear gun, cooler bag with ice and towing line. It worked out fantastically....other than the fact that after about 2 hours it started collecting water due to choppy waters.
