An intimate autobiography of a woman who is passionate about rowing small boats into artic waters. Sailing Alone Around the World - Joshua Slocum. The book on tape is especially fun. A hundred-year-old+ classic. Also recommend his Voyage of the Liberdad.

Filmy: Cyrano de Bergerac, especially the scene where he describes 3 different ways to get to the moon. Last movie I saw that I liked was King of Masks and movie I most strongly recommend is Lagaan. Both available on Netflix. Both thoroughly entertaining and out of the mainstream.
