Welcome to my Train Channel. This backround picture is My Dad in the 1950's unloading a New York Central Boxcar. He may have been one of the first railfans in the country growing up right across the street from Brooks Locomotive works in Dunkirk NY. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooks_Locomotive_Works He started taking pics as a teen in the 1920's and had many pics of steam locomotives that were built here at Brooks-Alco in Dunkirk NY. Sadly when he went to world war 2 his pics were stored at him mom's house and when he returned in 1946 they were all gone except a couple of them. He worked for Penn Central and Conrail. He also worked for New York Central in the 1950's and was laid off. They called him back in 1974 after a 20+ year layoff due to the rules that said he was next in line for the job. The other backround pic is of what I believe is a nuclear reactor that weighed several hundred tons, the rail car had 32 wheels! This was taken in the early 80's in the same area of many of my videos on Youtube.
