Clone Desynchronization - New Tile World Glitch(?)

Please have annotations on. I was building and testing my first ever Chip's Challenge levelset when I stumbled upon some slightly odd behavior involving clone machines. This occurs in both Tile World and Tile World 2. I haven't seen behavior like this mentioned on the Chip Wiki or anywhere else.
